Look inside New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor's $2.9 million mansion on Lake Apopka

Francisco Lindor is a local, by Florida standards. The New York Mets shortstop was born in Puerto Rico, but moved to the area as a pre-teen. Lindor went high school in Monteverde, the same area where he just purchased a lakefront mansion for $2.9 million.

Though Lindor plays in New York and attends spring training several hours away, he grabbed a spot he has ties to first. The 5-bed, 6.5 bath mansion is built for entertaining, should any of his family swing by. The jewel of the property is its back deck and pool area. It features several seating areas, including a sunken, outdoor conversation pit under a beautiful pergola. Guests can dine alongside the pool, as the area also holds an outdoor kitchen and bar.

Inside the home, nearly every space prioritizes natural light and views of the lake. Massive windows line every room but the office. Lindor can play host indoors as well, with formal living rooms and dining rooms.

Should the shortstop get a little bored with his chosen profession, the lot includes a putting green and the entire community sits along a golf course.
