The hottest new restaurants to open in Orlando this summer

Orlandoans are always looking for new flavorful dining experiences, and this summer's new additions definitely delivered. The season brought high temps and lots of change to Orlando, and our dining scene came out better than before.

From bagel spots to ice creameries to authentic Indian, Cantonese and Italian eateries, here are 19 of the hottest new restaurants in Orlando this summer.

Garden Tiger
1900 Alden Road, Orlando
Garden Tiger, opened in early June, serves as a refreshing dining concept in the heart of Ivanhoe Village. The concept comes from the team behind local concepts like The Heavy, Porch Therapy and Janet’s Dry Humor. This arboreal eatery also offers small bites, drinks and live music.

Opened late May, Lazy Moon's Maitland outpost brings the area large slices of customizable pizzas and 30-inch pies to share. This location marks the chain's third outpost in Florida offering massive pies, salads, soups, desserts and more.

After a much anticipated wait, Lamp & Shade Craft Kitchen and Cocktails finally opened its doors late May. The spot offers modern Asian-fusion bites, drinks and ambient interior design. The dimly lit eatery features an interior mural painted by Sumner Mormeneo and an exterior mural titled “Diversity Mural” painted by Cherie Bosela, which honors the lives lost during the Pulse Nightclub shooting and lives affected today by discrimination.

Lamp & Shade Craft Kitchen and Cocktails

After a much anticipated wait, Lamp & Shade Craft Kitchen and Cocktails finally opened its doors late May. The spot offers modern Asian-fusion bites, drinks and ambient interior design. Coro opened in June in the Audubon Park space formerly occupied by Bikes, Beans + Bordeaux Cafe, which closed in November 2022. Coro’s menu features small plates with Italian and Japanese influences.

Guests can expect A Lo Cubano, offering Cuban street food, Kabab2Go, offering Lebanese food, Kayos Jamaican Grill, Stack’d Brownies and many more.
