Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights Sweepstakes

Sweepstakes runs from September 10, 2009 and concludes on October 4, 2009. Eligibility is limited. See restrictions below. The sponsor of this sweepstakes is Orlando Weekly (“OW”), and the prize provider is Universal Orlando® (“UO”).

No Purchase Necessary. Please click the Enter To Win link below and register to win on Orlando Weekly's Free Stuff page at www.OrlandoWeekly.com/enter2win. Void where prohibited. Restrictions apply. The Sponsor:  Orlando Weekly. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. on October 4, 2009. Orlando Weekly is not responsible for late, illegible or incomplete entries. Information provided on the entry form will not be used for promotional or other purposes by Orlando Weekly or its affiliates. One (1) grand prize winner will be selected by random drawing of all timely, eligible entries received.  Ten (10) Secondary prizes will be awarded. The drawing will be held on October 5, 2009 or at a reasonable time thereafter. Winners will be notified by telephone, using the information on the entry form. If the Orlando Weekly’s representative who attempts to contact a winner is unable to speak directly to that person within 24 hours of the time notification is first attempted, that person will forfeit all right to the prize and an alternate winner will be selected. 

PRIZES: 

One (1) Grand Prize Consumer Package for four (4) to Universal Orlando to be given away by the Sponsor.  The Grand Prize Package has a fair market value of $1362.12 (actual value may vary depending on travel dates and location) and will include and is limited to the following:  

1. Hotel accommodations, room and tax only, for up to four (4) people in a maximum of one (1) room at a hotel selected by UO for one (1) night on October 22, 2009.  Hotel accommodations do not include meals, incidentals, tips, telephone calls, or any other personal expenses incurred during the trip.
2. One (1) Halloween Horror Nights 2009 V.I.P. Tour (including admission tickets) for a maximum of four (4) people on October 22, 2009.
3. Four (4) 1-Day/2-Park Universal Orlando tickets valid for admission to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure theme parks.
4. One (1) Universal Orlando general parking pass.

Ten (10) Secondary Prize Packages for two (2) to be given away by the Sponsor.  Each Secondary Prize Package has a fair market value of $341.96 will include and is limited to the following: 

1. Two (2) Halloween Horror Nights 2009 event tickets valid through October 31, 2009.
2. Two (2) 1-Day/2-Park Universal Orlando tickets valid for admission to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure theme parks through  
   July 31, 2010.
3. One (1) Universal Orlando general parking pass valid through July 31, 2010.

PRIZE RESTRICTIONS:

All winners must be 18 years of age or older. Blackout dates or other restrictions may apply. Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value. All unclaimed and/or unused prize packages, including theme park tickets, will remain the property of UO and may not be used as sales or trade incentive for employees of the Sponsor, and may not be sold, exchanged or otherwise transferred by winner, nor used by the Sponsor, its agencies or clients. All tickets are valid during normal operating hours only. Operating hours and availability of attractions and shows are subject to change without notice. Some special events may be separately ticketed. UO reserves the right to change the name of all tickets. All tickets specifically exclude admission to special or separately ticketed “hard ticket” entertainment events at either of the theme parks, such as Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights® and Rock The Universe, or within any of the Universal CityWalk venues such as Hard Rock Live® and the Blue Man Group show. 

The Grand Prize winner must travel on October 22, 2009, or winner will forfeit Grand Prize. If Grand Prize winner is between 18 & 21 years of age, he/she must be accompanied by an adult of at least 21 years of age in order to check-in to the hotel. Minor traveling companion(s) (if any) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  Hotel stay, theme park, and hard ticket dates may not be changed after scheduling, acceptance, and confirmation by UO. All elements of the Grand Prize package must be used, redeemed, fulfilled, booked and/or confirmed at the same time, and no changes will be permitted. If the Grand Prize winner is unable to fulfill any portion of the prize during the time period specified, winner forfeits the entire prize package. Grand Prize winner and guests must travel at the same time. Grand Prize winner travel arrangements must be made a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to winner travel. The Grand Prize winner must report to Universal Studios Guest Services to check in for their V.I.P. tour at 6:45 p.m. on October 22, 2009. If the Grand Prize winner does not arrive by 7:00 p.m., they forfeit the tour.

MISCELLANEOUS: Entrants agree to be bound by these rules. Sponsor is entitled to interpret these rules as needed and their decisions are final. Sponsor reserves the right to correct typographical, clerical or printing errors in any sweepstakes materials and to cancel or suspend the sweepstakes if, for reasons beyond their control, the sweepstakes is not capable of being run fairly or securely.
