Brick House Tavern + Tap
8440 International Drive, 407-355-0321, brickhousetavernandtap.com

Any bar that puts a giant deviled egg on their Bloody Mary spear is cool by default. Brick House has a pretty chunky beer menu, though it may be a little light on the crafts for the beer snobs. The patio is big, and the fireplace is bigger, which makes this a good stop for those of you who get stuck on I-Drive from time to time.

CaddyShanks Virtual Golf & Sports Pub
4882 New Broad St., 407-574-6570, caddyshanks.com

Family-friendly Baldwin Park isn’t really known as a nightlife hotspot, but a tired mom (or dad) needs to hit happy hour once in a while, and in this neighborhood, this is a good place to do it. Watch the game on TV, or blow off some steam with a few rounds of virtual golf.

Friendly Confines
33088 Aloma Ave., Winter Park, 407-478-0506; 435 N. Alafaya Trail, 407-736-9182; 7052 County Road 46A, Lake Mary, 321-257-0536, myfriendlyconfines.com

If you’re lacking a home base, it’s a safe bet that any of the Friendly Confines locations will suit your needs. The Confines cater to all sports enthusiasts, particularly those ravenous for hot wings. TVs on every flat surface mean you can’t not look at a game, and the close seating allows fan enthusiasm to bubble over to raucousness. This is the place to flock to if you’ve got a big crew, but you may want to call ahead to arrange for special seating if you are heading out for a season opener with enough friends to fill out an entire football team.

Harry Buffalo
129 W. Church St., 407-422-6656, harrybuffalo.com

A recent addition to Church Street following the closure of Mojo, Harry Buffalo is an ambitiously sized bar-restaurant with daily specials good enough to make you a repeat customer, as well as a winning Super Bowl party, including tailgating games like flip cup. The bison burgers are pretty delish, and tons of TVs and space for crowds make it a great place to catch a game – join the herd, as they say.

Kiwi’s Pub & Grill
801 W. State Road 436, Altamonte Springs, 407-788-7666, kiwispub.com

OK, don’t let their Facebook profile pic scare you off, this is a pretty classy bar. What might be considered obscene, though, is their collection of 26 televisions to watch your storied rivalries on, two projection screens and two more boob tubes outside for the smokers. Sorry, boys, the bar is named after the bird, not the fruit, but we’re still hoping it’ll attract some hot backpackers from down under.
