RalphFest 2 reunites four of Orlando's favorite past bands
Reunion shows at RalphFest 2 include Princeton's Guff, My Friend Steve, Brown Note and Throcket Luther
Published: November 21, 2012
Princeton's Guff
Where: The Beacham
When: 7 p.m.
Though they were popular back in the days of the Sapphire Supper Club, the catchy rock of Princeton's Guff still reads just as rich and emotive, thanks to the undeniably talented duo of David Schweizer and Brian Chodorcoff.
My Friend Steve
Where: The Beacham
When: 7:45 p.m.
You might remember My Friend Steve's 1998 Billboard chart single "Charmed," which propelled the project, created by Steve Burry, to fast success. Unfortunately, that success led to the collapse of the original lineup. My Friend Steve came together at last year's RalphFest, too, so if you missed them then, now's your chance to make it right.
Brown Note
Where: The Social
When: 12:15 a.m.
Brown Note, Orlando's most enthusiastic answer to New Orleans funk, was last seen in early 2011, playing Jambando, most memorably. Count on tireless, gritty jams from some of the most beloved musicians at Tanqueray's, including Anthony Cole, Matt Lapham, Roland Simmons and Mike Ryan.
Throcket Luther
Where: Elixir
When: 1:15 a.m.
There's not a lot still out there about this animated alternative rock outfit, which originally formed out of a studio band, started doing the coffee shop circuit but then graduated quickly to venues like House of Blues and Hard Rock Live between 2003 and 2007 (from what can be gleaned from their old MySpace).
