Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia The Wild Bunch director Sam Peckinpah went through some tough times making this gritty, almost all-Mexican man-on-a-mission tale. When it was released in 1974, critics were strongly divided on its merits. Today, Roger Ebert files it under his Great Movies category, calling it, "extraordinary, a true and heartfelt work by a great director." Either way you cut it, that's a cult classic.
