TheDailyCity.com Food Truck Bazaar Summer Series

Oviedo Marketplace Mall: 6-10 p.m. June 12, July 10, Aug. 14
Orlando Fashion Square Mall: 5-10 p.m. June 19, July 17, Aug. 21
Parliament House Bar & Resort: 6-10 p.m. June 26, July 24, Aug. 28

Summer is upon us, and TheDaily City.com is going hyper-local with a series of nine staggered Food Truck Bazaars in three distinct areas of metro Orlando. The idea is to bring in out-of-town trucks and to introduce new local ones, according to event organizer Mark Baratelli. Oviedo Marketplace Mall will host the first of the bazaars on Sunday June 12, at which Mobile Deli Ssäm Box (locals serving fusion plates like bulgogi quesadillas and cheesesteaks) and Mama's Fixins Soul Food & BBQ will debut.

The summer series of bazaars will be similar to previous iterations, so bring cash, chairs, tables and friends. Get strategic and station a person in line for each food truck ("It cuts down on wait time," Baratelli says) and then enjoy your food together, sort of like sharing tapas.

Orlando Fashion Square Mall and Parliament House Bar & Resort will also host three food truck events this summer (see info box); the P-House stops will have the added enticement of cocktails, available at the resort's mobile alfresco bars. Follow your fave rolling kitchens on Twitter or visit thedailycity.com for up-to-the-minute event details.
