Mix and match cocktails
Drinking on the beach has never been so sweet

I’ve got nothing against a nice sandy-bottomed bottle of Modelo, but warm beer is kind of a drag, and I hate lugging a cooler. Through trial and error, I’ve discovered that the mix-and-match approach graphed below works wonderfully with beach cocktails – no thinking, just throw together something from each row et voilà, your beach day just went gold.
Not the spontaneous type?
Here are some of my favorite combos: Pellegrino pompelmo + Domaine de Canton + seltzer; Campari + Sarikiz lemon mineral water; Pellegrino aranciata rossa + Apérol + frozen raspberries; St. Germain + Sarikiz green apple.
If you’re not out in the sun:
Try these higher-proof boosters: tequila blanco, Hendrick’s gin or dark rum. Suggested combos: four shots of dark rum + two shots St. Germain + Pellegrino pompelmo; or three shots Campari + three shots gin + Pellegrino aranciata rossa; or four shots Domaine de Canton + two shots tequila blanco + Pellegrino limonata.
