Daniel Tosh

Taking the concept of homecoming as literally as possible, organizers have snagged a former Central Floridian and alumnus to come rub his success in the faces of students staring down U Can’t Finish. But the arrival of Daniel Tosh is a little bittersweet. Tosh, who grew up in Titusville, ran off to Los Angeles to spout from a safe distance that Florida was “flat, hot and dumb.” Though we document just how accurate this statement is on a … well, weekly basis, the “I’m so much better than you that I have to leave” attitude is so prevalent among I-4’s citizenry that it’s lost all comic appeal. And it infects Tosh with a permanent smirk as he delivers his snaps against the easiest targets in the world on his Comedy Central show, Tosh.0. How hard is it to rag on the stupidity found on the Internet? Fortunately, his stand-up material is generally inventive enough to keep you from noticing he’s laughing at you.
