Best Making of Something From Nothing

Cardboard Art Festival

Jan. 25-27, 2013

First it was a jam-packed art opening featuring seven talented Orlando artists, then it became a pop-up dinner featuring chef Bryce Balluff and the Orlando Symphony Youth Orchestra. Then it was a daytime kids matinee that later became a music and puppetry performance by Dog Powered Robot and Andy Matchett & the Minks. The best part: All three days revolved around the gloriously impermanent medium of common cardboard. January’s premiere of the Cardboard Art Festival at the Orange Studio showed just how much gold our local artists can spin from straw.
