Refresh Spring Art Sale

and Sunday, April 21-22
Orange Studio

You could look at A/K/Art Consulting's Refresh Spring Art Sale pragmatically: Artists need to do a spring clean just like everybody else, and this is a chance for them to make some cash while clearing out the corners of their studios. Or you could take a cue from the location (Julio Lima's sleek, concrete-floored Orange Studio) and the associated blandishments (food trucks upon food trucks, ambient sounds) and look at this as your own mini-Art Basel.

Get dressed up, practice your art jargon (“it has a lovely negative capability”), polish up your bank card and head over to the ViMi district to browse paintings, photographs and prints by Jean Banas, Heather Comparetto, Kerry Cox, Jennifer Farhat, Brenda Hofreiter, Kathy O'Meara, Carrie Perman, Orit Reuben, Jessica Singleton and others. Food trucks on hand will include Treehouse Truck, Fork in the Road, the Flattery and everyone's favorite sugar purveyor, the Yum Yum Cupcake Truck. Price tags on the art range from $20 to more than $2,000; a cupcake will set you back $2.50.
