Packet Switching Downtown's UCF Center for Emerging Media (home of the Flying Horse Editions print studio) continues its tradition of tech-oriented, brainy, process-over-product art shows with this exhibit. Packet Switching finds its basis in the way information is transferred digitally: communications software breaks each transmission into small data blocks, then reassembles the information at its destination. Artists Joelle Dietrick and Owen Mundy interpret this process in architectural installation, large-scale photographs, paintings and animations. 1-4 pm Wednesday; 10 am-4 pm Friday; Gallery 500 at UCF Center for Emerging Media, 500 W. Livingston St.; free; 407-823-2121; cem.ucf.edu.
