The ABCs of Death A grand gaggle of horror directors contributed to this probing anthology, which shows 26 ways of making a memorable exit from our mortal plane. I anticipate intense parking-lot arguments between the fans of “F Is for Fart” and “H Is for Hydro-Electric Diffusion.” (NR; plays midnight Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20, at Enzian Theater, Maitland) – Steve Schneider

Lore Ever wonder what life was like for German kids right after the Allies won World War II? Pretty much what it’s like for Reince Priebus right now, I guess. But if you need a literal answer, check out this Australian Oscar submission, in which a quintet of Hitler Youth are left rootless by the collapse of the Third Reich and have to make nice with an actual Jew. (NR; opens Friday at Enzian) – SS

Oblivion There comes a time when you realize you’ve immersed yourself in too much science fiction and it might just be time to move on. Like, for example, when you read that the new Tom Cruise movie pitches him as the caretaker of a burned-out Earth, and you think “Just like Silent Running” – only for reviewers to compare it to Wall-E instead. Yeah, talk about sifting through the ashes of a dead civilization. The plot of this week’s only wide release ties our hero’s fate to that of a mysterious femme fatale (Olga Kurylenko), which is bound to delight fans of Blade Runner and Logan’s Run and Code 46 and Jesus, I gotta rent more musicals. (PG-13) – SS

Starbuck A veteran sperm donor finds out he’s lent his DNA to 533 children – and some of the mommies would like very much to know who he is. Enjoy this Canadian hit now: A Vince Vaughn mangling is coming next fall for people who aren’t into “foreign films.” (R; opens Friday at Enzian) – SS
